PONANT invites you on an expedition cruise in the Indian Ocean. From Mauritius to the Seychelles via Reunion Island and Madagascar, take a 13-day cruise aboard Le Jacques-Cartier to enjoy beaches, diving and nautical activities, and to discover endemic fauna and flora as well as places of breathtaking natural beauty that few tourists visit.

From Port Louis on the island of Mauritius, you will first sail to Reunion Island and its wonderful area of volcanic pitons and cirques, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your ship will then set sail for Madagascar, the island continent. On the east coast first, Île Sainte-Marie, once a lair of pirates, has successfully retained its authentic and untouched character. On the west coast you will then discover Nosy Mitsio and its immaculate beaches, Majunga from which you’ll be able to explore Ankarafantsika National Park and Nosy Komba, also known as “lemur island”, home to large colonies of these small, agile primates.

Le Jacques-Cartier will then reach the Glorioso Islands, part of the Scattered Islands. This beautiful archipelago with very few inhabitants is home to exceptional fauna and flora including, in particular, marine turtles.

In the Seychelles you will discover the small island of Alphonse, where you will have the opportunity to go snorkelling and scuba diving among the brightly-coloured sea life.

Before disembarking in Victoria on the island of Mahé, a veritable picture-postcard awaits you in La Digue: palm trees, granite rocks, white sand and crystal-clear waters.
